MATTHEW 9:27-34

27. And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, "Have mercy on us, Son of David." 28. When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to him, "Yes, Lord." 29. Then he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith be it done to you." 30. And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, "See that no one knows about it." 31. But they went away and spread his fame through all that district. 32. As they were going away, behold, a demon-oppressed man who was mute was brought to him. 33. And when the demon had been cast out, the mute man spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, "Never was anything like this seen in Israel." 34. But the Pharisees said, "He casts out demons by the prince of demons."

COLOSSIANS 1:7-14

7. just as you learned it from Epaphras our beloved fellow servant. He is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf 8. and has made known to us your love in the Spirit. 9. And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10. so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. 11. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, 12. giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. 13. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14. in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

ACTS 9:1-20

1. But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest 2. and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. 3. Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4. And falling to the ground he heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" 5. And he said, "Who are you, Lord?" And he said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 6. But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do." 7. The men who were traveling with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one. 8. Saul rose from the ground, and although his eyes were opened, he saw nothing. So they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. 9. And for three days he was without sight, and neither ate nor drank. 10. Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, "Ananias." And he said, "Here I am, Lord." 11. And the Lord said to him, "Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying, 12. and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight." 13. But Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem. 14. And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name." 15. But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. 16. For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name." 17. So Ananias departed and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit." 18. And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he rose and was baptized; 19. and taking food, he was strengthened. For some days he was with the disciples at Damascus. 20. And immediately he proclaimed Jesus in the synagogues, saying, "He is the Son of God."

EPHESIANS 5:8-14

8. for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9. (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10. and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 13. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, 14. for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,"Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

ISAIAH 7:10-14

10. Again the Lord spoke to Ahaz, 11. "Ask a sign of the Lord your God; let it be deep as Sheol or high as heaven." 12. But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, and I will not put the Lord to the test." 13. And he said, "Hear then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary men, that you weary my God also? 14. Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

EPHESIANS 5:1-9

1. Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. 2. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 3. But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. 4. Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. 5. For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7. Therefore do not become partners with them; 8. for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9. (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true),

PSALMS 23:1-6

1. A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. 3. He restores my soul.He leads me in paths of righteousnessfor his name's sake. 4. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil, for you are with me;your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5. You prepare a table before mein the presence of my enemies;you anoint my head with oil;my cup overflows. 6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow meall the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lordforever.

JOHN 7:10-31

10. But after his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly but in private. 11. The Jews were looking for him at the feast, and saying, "Where is he?" 12. And there was much muttering about him among the people. While some said, "He is a good man," others said, "No, he is leading the people astray." 13. Yet for fear of the Jews no one spoke openly of him. 14. About the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and began teaching. 15. The Jews therefore marveled, saying, "How is it that this man has learning, when he has never studied?" 16. So Jesus answered them, "My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me. 17. If anyone's will is to do God's will, he will know whether the teaching is from God or whether I am speaking on my own authority. 18. The one who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood. 19. Has not Moses given you the law? Yet none of you keeps the law. Why do you seek to kill me?" 20. The crowd answered, "You have a demon! Who is seeking to kill you?" 21. Jesus answered them, "I did one work, and you all marvel at it. 22. Moses gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. 23. If on the Sabbath a man receives circumcision, so that the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because on the Sabbath I made a man's whole body well? 24. Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment." 25. Some of the people of Jerusalem therefore said, "Is not this the man whom they seek to kill? 26. And here he is, speaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be that the authorities really know that this is the Christ? 27. But we know where this man comes from, and when the Christ appears, no one will know where he comes from." 28. So Jesus proclaimed, as he taught in the temple, "You know me, and you know where I come from? But I have not come of my own accord. He who sent me is true, and him you do not know. 29. I know him, for I come from him, and he sent me." 30. So they were seeking to arrest him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come. 31. Yet many of the people believed in him. They said, "When the Christ appears, will he do more signs than this man has done?"
