Leadership Investment for Churches of Christ in SA & NT

Investment in, and the ongoing development of well-formed innovative leaders for our Movement is critical. This is a special invitation to take advantage of an important conversation available to us at the end of April.

You’re invited to explore some important elements of leadership and ministry development we are investing in for the future with Churches of Christ in SA & NT.

Special guests: Rev Dr Merryl Blair & Rev Dr Melinda Cousins

Our input and conversation will focus on two key areas

  • Correcting the gender balance in leadership. Merryl and Melinda will share from their own experience as women who have been leaders in churches, the challenges we still face and how we might all help invest in a network that supports the call of women in ministry with Churches of Christ.
  • Staying on the cutting edge – investing in well forming leaders. A conversation about renewable accreditation for Churches of Christ ministers and the areas we need to focus on to invest in quality leadership across our churches, chaplaincy settings and emerging faith communities. Merryl, Melinda and Mark Riessen will give input into how this is experienced among ministers in Churches of Christ Vic/Tas and Baptist Churches SA and what it could mean for us.

The afternoon is free of charge and a quality afternoon tea will be provided by the Aldgate Church of Christ. Please RSVP to Lyndall lyndall@churcghesofchrist-sa.org.au no later than April 20th.
